Police-logo2 Nigerian Police Inspector Allegedly Rapes a Teenager at Gunpoint Entertainment

A 15-year-old girl was reportedly raped by a Nigerian police inspector attached to the Mkpat Enin Police Division in Akwa Ibom State.

According to Punch, the teenager (whose name is withheld), was on her way back from the community church last Thursday when she was accosted by a team of police officers. She said one the officers, an inspector, held her captive, at gunpoint, and allegedly threatened to have her shot if she rebuffed him. She added that he pulled her away from the other officers to a more secluded spot, before sexually manhandling her.

Small you possess these type of breasts,” the inspector allegedly said as he groped the frightened teenager, and then ordered her to get rid of her dress and underwear, before forcefully having his way with her.

Here’s what she said, according to Punch:

“After he had forced me to remove my clothes, he ordered me to lie down and open my legs. And what I noticed was that he brought out his penis and inserted it into my vagina.

As he was romping over me, he forbade me crying as he threatened to shoot me if I should open my mouth.

But when I could not bear the pains any longer as blood was running out of my private part, he quickly took me into the vehicle and drove to the station, where he detained me from Thursday till Saturday.

It was my uncle, Dr. Ime Stephen that came from Abuja and bailed me out with N10,000.”

Punch adds that the victim’s father became paralysed after he fell off a palm tree, and her mother abandoned her when she was still a toddler.

Speaking with the press, her uncle Stephen, revealed that the alleged rapist is also a police prosecutor. He said:

“The inspector for pointing a gun he was given on trust at a girl of 15 before raping her, lacks the characters of police officers who are meant to protect lives and property of Nigerians.

He is a fraud by also taking the girl into the police custody for three days and collected N10,000 as bail sum from the girl’s guardian.

We call for his dismissal from the force so that he can be prosecuted accordingly.”

It is unclear if the case has been reported to the Akwa Ibom Police Command. However, no action had been taken against the Nigerian police inspector as at press time.
