Hillary accepted the Democratic nomination at the DNC last night, delivering an inspiring speech in celebration of the historic moment. One line in the speech in particular had people talking,
“When there are no ceilings, the sky’s the limit.”
While this may have come off as a broad promise about the future of the country to some, anyone who was bumping Lil Wayne’s mixtapes between 2007 and 2009 had a little more to say about the choice of words. Not only is No Ceilings the name of one of Lil Wayne’s most celebrated mixtapes, but “The Sky’s The Limit” is the name of one his definitive songs from Da Drought 3.
Twitter had a lot of fun with the comparison, but there was only one take we really needed on the line, and that was from Wayne himself.
TMZ caught up with Weezy, who hadn’t actually heard the speech though word had already gotten to him about the reference. When the cameraman told him the exact quote, he seemed pretty excited.
“Is that what she said?” he asked, stopping in his tracks, before declaring, “I F**ks with Hillary.”
